Wintergreen Music’s new identity builds upon a history of quality music, an inviting atmosphere and the uniquely beautiful setting that is Wintergreen Mountain. In line with this season’s theme, the old logo was ‘transformed’ to better represent the all-encompassing program offerings that welcome a wide-ranging audience.

The foundation of this rebrand was the new logo — with its deliberately minimal, sans serif font, the new name is modern and light, breathing in the crisp open sky when paired with striking photography of Wintergreen’s breathtaking views. Simple mountains replaced the dated violin to better represent the venue as a whole. A new color palette embodies the spirit of the Blue Ridge Mountain’s changing leaves, bold sunsets and the striking view patrons encounter at Wintergreen.


Tee Party Golf Association provides networking opportunities for corporate professionals on the golf course. From the start, TPGA expressed interest in a unique brand mark that would differentiate them from the rest of the golf industry. The final mark represents the mission of TPGA by fusing a ball on the tee with a speech bubble. A Rubin Design created an approachable brand identity consisting of a polished logo, variety of playful brand sparks, bright color palette and extensive photography guidelines.

Sub Rosato

Sub Rosato is a pop-up wine bar operating out of Sub Rosa bakery in Richmond, VA. ‘Sub Rosa’ is an expression from the Middle Ages which literally translates to ‘under the rose’ and is used in English to denote a sense of secrecy. The client changed ‘Sub Rosa’ to ‘Sub Rosato’ to better represent her low-key neighborhood wine bar. The name inspired a brand identity that is both playful and quirky with an indie, subversive twist.

The client requested a full brand development as well as a menu design. This menu was unique in that each time the bar opens, every item on the menu is different. To create a menu that could be customized for each event, a modular template was created that works for the client no matter what or how many items are offered at each pop-up event.

The Broad

The Broad is a modern workspace and social club for women in Richmond, Virginia. Built specifically with women’s needs in mind, everything inside The Broad was created and designed by women from the bathroom wallpaper, to the interior design to the books in the library to the art hanging on the walls…all the way to the logo and brand identity. The airy loft in Richmond’s historic Arts District is feminine but professional and serves as a place in the community for women to connect over a cup of coffee, join a book club, take part in workshops, enjoy a glass of wine, attend panel discussions, take a yoga class and so much more.

Inspired by the nationwide women’s movement, A Rubin Design partnered with another local studio [Guestroom Creative] to promote the spirit of women helping women and community over competition.
